The 25th Rolex China Sea Race, organisedby Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) with the assistance of the SubicBay Yacht Club, is starting in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour and finish in Subic Bay, northwest of Manilain the Philippines.
The first China Sea Race was heldat Easter 1962 with only 5 yachts. Today the biennial Rolex China SeaRace is one of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s flagship events. TheRace is part of Rolex’s distinguished portfolio of internationaloffshore races under a long-term partnership between Rolex and theRHKYC that started in 2007.
This year 30 boat entry listcombined Rolex China Sea Race veterans with many new faces and hasattracted three overseas entries: Dr Jon Wardill’s Cassidy 55,Australian Maid (AUS), & Judes Echauz’s Sydney 46, Subic Centennial
